THE REASON FOR GOD

THE REASON FOR GOD

Thursdays | 7pm | Val’s in Rumson

Leader Pastor Jason | Starts 2/5 | *For Men*

Let’s address the elephant in the room - frequent doubts that skeptics, and even ardent believers, have about religion. Using literature, philosophy, real-life conversations, and potent reasoning, we’ll follow along with Tim Keller as he explains how the belief in a Christian God is, in fact, a sound and rational one. We’ll tackle the tough questions men often have about faith and belief. Led by Pastor Jason, Thursdays at 7pm for 6 weeks at Val’s in Rumson.

BREAK THE HUDDLE AND RUN THE PLAY

BREAK THE HUDDLE AND RUN THE PLAY

Every other Wednesday | 7pm | Tower Hill’s Connect Center

Leader Tom Perez | Meets 2/11, 2/25, 3/11 & 3/25 | *For Men*

Every Sunday, millions tune into CBS Sunday Afternoon sports to watch James Brown deliver bold commentary on what is taking place on the field. Brown turns to his true vocation, teaching God's Word, to help us understand how important it is to break the huddle and run the plays that God has laid before us. Walking through James 2:14-26, Brown illustrates that, while we know we are saved through grace, faith without action is dead. But we don't need to be afraid of breaking the huddle, because we know who calls the plays and that God will block for us. We only need to be obedient and run the plays He has laid out for us. This group, led by Tom Perez, will meet every other week, 4 times, on Wednesdays starting 2/11 in Tower Hill’s Connect Center.

STARVED

Mondays | 11am-12:30pm | Tower Hill’s Connect Center

Leaders Lori Marrone & Melissa Freidman | Starts 2/2 | *For Women*

Change your spiritual diet and start enjoying a fulfilling faith! Move from tired, anxious, and overwhelmed to fulfilled, whole and free. Countless Christians are struggling with the never-ending chaos consuming our world. To find a way out of the overwhelm, we turn to our phones, social media, politics, and a million other little things, desperate for relief. But over time, these imposters leave us weak, weary, and starving. Now more than ever is the perfect time to examine what we are feeding our souls so that we can receive the sustenance we need. This study by Amy Seiffert invites you to join in practicing what it means to leave behind sluggish spirituality by offering healthy alternatives. This group meets at Tower Hill’s Connect Center on Mondays, 11am with leaders Lori Marrone and Melissa Freidman.

ROMANS 8: FROM BROKEN TO BELONGING

ROMANS 8: FROM BROKEN TO BELONGING

Fridays | 10-11:30am | Tower Hill’s Connect Center

Leaders Natalie DeStefano & Monica Duque | Starts 2/6 | *For Women*

Have you ever thought your life is beyond repair or wondered if God could use your brokenness for good? We all tend to look and search for purpose in our pain and suffering. Depression, anxiety, hurting relationships, and unmet expectations can cause us to question God. In this study, author Noe Garcia takes participants on a journey through Romans 8, which many scholars believe is the greatest chapter in the Bible. Noe shares his life story and experiences of abuse, depression, and overwhelming hopelessness. He reveals how God redeemed, repaired, and restored him. Through Romans 8, he'll help you understand Christ's transformative power to repurpose hurt and brokenness for your good and His glory. This group meets at Tower Hill’s Connect Center on Fridays at 10am with leaders Monica Duque and Natalie DeStefano.

IT’S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE THIS WAY

IT’S NOT SUPPOSED TO BE THIS WAY

Mondays | 6:30-8pm | Tower Hill’s Connect Center

Leader Peggy Marchese | Starts 2/23 | *For those seeking God’s healing and guidance after the end of a marriage or long-term relationship*

Life often looks very different than we hoped or expected. Some events may simply catch us off guard for a moment, but others shatter us completely. At times like these, it's easy to feel disappointed and disillusioned and to wonder about the reality of God's goodness. So what do you do when God's timing seems questionable, his lack of intervention hurtful, and his promises doubtful? Join leader Peggy Marchese for this 6 week study from New York Times bestselling author Lysa TerKeurst. It offers a safe place to share your disappointments, fresh biblical insight to get you through painful situations, and life-giving perspectives for living between Eden and eternity. This group meets in Tower Hill’s Connect Center, Mondays at 6:30pm starting 2/23.

WORKING MOM’S: THE STRUGGLE IS REAL

WORKING MOM’S: THE STRUGGLE IS REAL

Every other Tuesday | 7:30pm | A Rumson Home

Leaders Jenn Pearson & Lauren Jacobson | Meets 2/3, 2/17, 3/3, 3/17, 3/31 | *For Working Moms*

Life is never as easy as we want it to be. Car tires blow out. Work piles up. Kids throw tantrums. It’s a struggle. But should it be? We often believe that when we follow Jesus, life should get easier. And when it doesn’t we tell ourselves we’re failing or stuck or abandoned by God. But it’s simply not true. In this 6 week study by Nicole Unice we will explore why life’s a struggle and what to do about it. With God as the hero of the story, a hard day has new meaning. We can find joy in him instead of feeling stuck. And our lives can be defined by redemption instead of struggle. Join this group of working moms that meets every other Tuesday starting 2/3 at 7:30pm in Rumson Home with leaders Jenn Pearson & Lauren Jacobson.

DAVID, KINGS AND OTHER THINGS

DAVID, KINGS AND OTHER THINGS

Thursdays | 6-7:30pm | Tower Hill’s Connect Center

Leader Pastor Chris | Starts 2/3 | *For Everyone*

his Bible study with Pastor Chris is for both the “I’ve never cracked open a Bible” crowd and the “I’ve got notes in the margins” crowd. We’ll journey through the historical books of the Bible, from King David to the long (and sometimes messy) line of kings who came after him. There will be drama, surprising twists, a few “wait…that’s in the Bible?!” moments, and yes — some laughter along the way. We’ll take God seriously, but not ourselves. Expect good conversation, helpful background, and a healthy dose of humor as we explore some of the Old Testament’s more confusing passages — all with the goal of understanding Jesus more clearly. No Bible expertise required. Curiosity encouraged. We’ll be using The Bible Recap Series Curriculum and the NIV Bible to guide us (if you took the Torah class in the fall it’s the same book). Come ready to learn, laugh, and discover just how interesting these stories really are. Meets Thursdays 6-7:30pm in Tower Hill’s Connect Center starting 2/3. Led by Pastor Chris.

Lead by Margaret Valenti, virtually, Wednesdays from 7-8pm for 4 weeks.

THE BOOK OF JOB

THE BOOK OF JOB

Fridays | 7:30pm | Tower Hill’s Connect Center

Leaders Beth & John Richey | Starts 2/6 | *For Everyone*

The world teaches us to revolve our actions, thoughts, and beliefs around ourselves. “It’s all about you!” we are encouraged to think. In the world’s philosophy, we become the author and hero of our story. But the Bible teaches a different view, one where another hero—the actual Author of life—takes center stage. In the book of Job, God asserts his preeminence and displays his power. This study by Francis Chan will explore the overriding truth that we exist not for ourselves but to glorify the God who deserves all worship and praise. This group, led by Beth & John Richey, will meet on Friday nights, 7:30-9, for 4 weeks starting 2/6 in Tower Hill’s Connect Center.
